PRAYER HELPS  ~ Compiled by John Kebbel

Opposite approaches to prayer are prayers read from a book such as The Book of Common Prayer or prayers prayed extemporaneously. The problem for people praying extemporaneously is that, while we live in a sea of human need, we are sometimes blocked, unable to think of anything to pray about. Once you have begun praying, pray your way through your fingers or your fingers and toes. Refuse to stop praying until you have prayed for 5, 10, 15, or 20 things. This builds perseverance in prayer.
